Handmade Goods

It’s important to understand that nothing we sell at Lanna Charm is mass-produced. This means that real people have made what you’re buying – and handcrafted goods often contain slight “imperfections”, this is perfectly normal of course and part of the charm of buying something that has been crafted by hand. In fact, we hope that’s one of the reasons that you’re buying from us!

Having said that, please don’t mistake handcrafted for “low quality” or “poorly finished” – we have very high standards here at Lanna Charm, and every item we send out is thoroughly checked to make sure it meets those very high standards.

Pricing & Shipping

All our prices are specified in U.S. Dollars unless specifically stated otherwise. 

Shipping options include UPS, FedEx and DHL.  All three companies provide prompt and efficient delivery services and goods can be tracked via the relevant websites. All orders sent via UPS, FedEx or DHL are guaranteed by Lanna Charm, and any lost  orders or damaged goods will be replaced. Lanna Charm takes no responsibility for orders sent via Thailand Post. Customers may opt to use the Post Office but do so at their own risk. 

Customers who import wood products into some countries may be required to pay for fumigation costs. Certification is supplied and any other paperwork such as Manufacturers Declaration forms can be provided by Lanna Charm.

All products such as mango wood candle holders, bamboo rice containers and soap flowers are individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Soap flowers can be sent in saa paper gift boxes which reduces the chance of breakage during shipping.

Tax

Please note that prices published on this website or quoted to you via email do not include taxes that may or may not be applied to imports in your state/country.

Unlike items you buy in your local store, imported products from another country do not include any tax, so your government sees fit to charge a tax on the import. This is normal and is sometimes called sales tax, import duty or VAT. Sometimes, for orders of a lower value, you will not be charged any tax.

The rules differ from country to country, and tend to be interpreted differently by different Customs officers. The rules are also subject to change without notice. For all of these reasons, it is not possible for us to let you know the likely amount in advance.

If you are concerned about the tax you may have to pay, you can usually get a accurate estimate from your government Customs / Revenue department website.
