Wholesale Hill Tribe Blankets

 Welcome to our collection of beautiful, handcrafted blankets and bedspreads from Northern Thailand.

The Black Hmong hill tribe people of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam are famous for their bedding, made from a blend of hemp, cotton and patchwork fabrics. Most blankets are made from recycled skirts and other items of clothing. The reason skirt material is used is because the Hmong people usually make new clothing for their New Year festival, which falls in December or January each year, depending on the phase of the moon.

Each blanket is unique, featuring different colors, patterns and designs, and they are quite heavy, weighing around 1.7 kg, or 3 3/4 pounds. 

Dimensions vary between individual items, but the usual size is about 80" by 70", enough to cover a queen size bed. Larger sizes can be produced if necessary.

Apart from making very attractive and warm bed covers, the blankets are also used as furniture covers and wall hangings.

Whatever they are used for, they will become the focal point of any room, and will be appreciated for many years.
