"Lampang" Hand-woven Silk Runner
Beautiful Silk Wall Hanging
These hand-woven Thai silk runners were created in the Lampang area, in Northern Thailand.
The fabric is woven in the timeless fashion by Thai ladies who learn to weave when quite young, and carry on weaving all through their lives, in turn teaching the craft to their daughters, and so on. Each piece of silk bears the personality and feeling of the lady who weaves it, and though some runners may look similar, no two are alike, due to the weaving process. Like many hand-woven products some pieces bear slight imperfections, which take nothing away from their natural beauty.
